 We also just had a fantastic morning out with Darren. Saw a whale, the bald eagle and the osprey. Caught mackerel, threw back cod, had steamed mussels and our 4 and 7 year olds loved it.

He is a great guy and deserves all the business he can get. His prices are reasonable and the tours are tailored to your wishes. You can go out anytime form early morning till the evening. His number is 709 688 2125 should you wish to try him out. And cod fishing starts in earnest this Saturady and for the following three weeks.

 Having bought a food smoker we set out once again with Darren knowing that we were "guaranteed" to catch something. Within the first few minutes of our first stop we had already filled our mackerel bucket which was going to be the subject of the smoker later on!

So we headed off to try and beat the HVR record of a 35lb cod. We did catch more than 50lb of cod but unfortunately not one of them was more than about 10lb!!

However, another great trip with Darren who is a really lovely guy. Well recommended, especially if your fishing trips normally end up with you having caught no fish!!!

 WOW! What fun we all had! Lots of cod and mackeral. You helped us make lots of great memories of dory fishing in Newfoundland.

I'm sure we'll be trying to tally the total for years to come.

Breath taking trip - fishing was awesome. Whales so smazing, I though one might land under the boat they were so close!
